Overview

This journey explores Laos’ wartime history, following routes linked to the Secret War and the former Ho Chi Minh Trail. Visits include important historical sites such as the caves of Viengxay, Lima Site 85, and remote regions that played a significant role during the conflict. Alongside these historical experiences, the programme also passes through mountain landscapes, ethnic minority villages, and lesser-visited parts of northern and central Laos. Natural highlights include the Plain of Jars, Kong Lor Cave, the Hinboun River, and the Xe Ban Fai Cave. The journey concludes with a scenic overland route back to Vientiane, offering a broader perspective on Laos beyond the country’s more traditional travel routes.
