Overview

This journey combines the best of Northern Laos with an elegant cruise along the Upper Mekong. Starting in Chiang Rai, the route crosses into Laos at Huay Xai, where the Anouvong Cruise begins its relaxed journey past remote villages, sandbanks and impressive river scenery. Along the way, local community visits, traditional workshops and sacred sites offer a rich insight into life along the Mekong. The journey ends with the cultural highlights of Luang Prabang, the natural beauty of Vang Vieng and a lively introduction to the capital, Vientiane.
